A Google Forms API alternative without the OAuth setup
The Google Forms API requires a Google Cloud project, OAuth consent and scopes. SpaceForms uses one bearer key, so a script or agent can create a form in the first minute.
How they differ
- Auth: a single API key vs. a Google Cloud project with the Forms API enabled and OAuth scopes such as forms.body.
- Creating: Google's forms.create only accepts a title — questions must be added in a second forms.update call. SpaceForms creates the whole form in one request.
- Agents: remote MCP server included.
- Response modes: classic form, conversational chat and voice.
- Google Forms is free and tightly integrated with Sheets and Workspace.
Frequently asked questions
- What does it cost?
- API access is included on every account, including free. Free accounts can create unlimited forms and collect unlimited responses, and see the 10 most recent answers per form. Pro (from $14/month) shows every answer on every form.
- How do I get an API key?
- Sign in, open Settings → API keys (spaceforms.io/settings/api-keys), name the key and press Create. The key starts with sf_live_ and is shown once. You can revoke it at any time.
