In-App Survey
An in-app survey is a short survey delivered inside a digital product, typically triggered by user behavior or milestone events.
In-app surveys dramatically outperform email — Refiner's 2026 in-app dataset (n=1,382 surveys, 50M+ views) shows 27.5% average response rate vs 3-15% for email. Best practices: 1-3 questions max, trigger after meaningful events (task completion, error, milestone), avoid first session, allow dismiss, never block primary user flow.
